An Closing, also known as a digital closing, is a mortgage closing process where most or all steps are conducted electronically. Loan documents are digitized and shared with all participants automatically, so your mortgage clients are better served.
All parties will be physically present to Sign and Notarized digital documents, while other paper documents require traditional signatures and notarization.
ELECTRONIC CLOSING
All parties meet in person, and all of the documents are Signed and Notarized .
REMOTE ONLINE CLOSING
All documents are Signed and Notarized using teleconferencing, eliminating the need for everyone to be in the same room.
Types of Notarizations
TWIN
Traditional Wet Ink Notarization
The conventional process of signing a document to prevent fraud and ensure its legal validity.
IPEN
IN-PERSON ELECTRONIC NOTARIZATION
In-person, where the documents are Signed and Notarized on an electronic device like a tablet by both the signer and notary.
RIN
REMOTE INK-SIGNED NOTARIZATION
Ink-signed pager documents where the notary witnesses via a webcam. Ink-signed documents are then mailed to the notary for final ink notarization.
HSN
HYBRID SIGNING AND NOTARIZATION
HSN can be a combination of different closing types. Usually means ink-signing recordable/notarized Documents but Signing the rest from the closing.
RON
FULLY REMOTE ONLINE NOTARIZATION
A fully digital process in which the notary verifies the signer’s identity via webcam from a remote location, followed by the Signing and Notarization of all electronic documents required for Closing.
